Where it wins
Collectors drawn to titanium construction and aviation heritage
The Hamilton uses the H-10 automatic with an 80-hour power reserve, which is a strong practical advantage for leaving the watch off the wrist for longer without it stopping. The Bremont uses the BB14-AH automatic with 24 jewels, a 4 Hz / 28,800 vph beat rate, and a 68-hour power reserve, which gives it a more traditional high-beat specification and a bit more movement detail on paper. Neither watch has listed accuracy claims, COSC, METAS, or magnetic resistance, so performance comparisons beyond those basics are not supported here. The Bremont’s decorated open case back gives it a stronger enthusiast presentation, while the Hamilton’s open case back is listed without further decoration details. Winner: Bremont
Both watches are 42mm with 22mm lug width, so neither has a size advantage in diameter. The Hamilton is thinner at 11mm, while the Bremont is 12.23mm thick with a 49.3mm lug-to-lug and a listed weight of 53.29g, which should help it wear notably light despite its larger construction. The Hamilton’s lug-to-lug and weight are not yet listed, so a direct comfort comparison is incomplete. The Bremont’s pre-existing wearability notes emphasize improved ergonomics, a shorter lug-to-lug versus earlier MB models, and a surprisingly balanced feel on wrist thanks to titanium construction and the bracelet. The Hamilton’s wearability is more conventional and should suit a wide range of wrists, but the larger 42mm field-watch format will still feel substantial. Winner: Bremont
The Hamilton offers a black dial, sapphire crystal, Super-LumiNova, 100m water resistance, and a simple no-date layout, which makes it very straightforward to read and easy to live with. Its leather strap and stainless steel bracelet bundle adds flexibility for alternating between dressier and more casual use, though the pin buckle is less convenient than a more modern clasp system. The Bremont adds a brushed blue galvanic dial, anti-reflective glass-box sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance, and a date display, along with a quick-release titanium bracelet that sounds more integrated and premium for regular wear. Its lume is not listed, so night visibility cannot be credited from the provided data. Functionally, the Bremont feels more specialized and technically rich, while the Hamilton is simpler and arguably more immediately practical for low-fuss daily use. Winner: Tie
The Hamilton’s $1,195 MSRP is far lower than the Bremont’s $5,700 MSRP, making it the clearer value play on price alone. The Bremont brings stronger material and construction signals in the data: titanium Trip-Tick case construction, a decorated titanium open case back, and a quick-release titanium bracelet, all of which support a more premium ownership experience. The Hamilton leans on classic field-watch simplicity, an automatic movement with an 80-hour reserve, and a versatile strap-and-bracelet bundle, which is attractive for buyers who want utility without paying for more elaborate construction. Brand and heritage signals in the provided data are also stronger for the Bremont, especially with the MB/Martin-Baker aviation connection described in the wearability notes, while the Hamilton offers the established Khaki Field identity. On pure ownership practicality and cost efficiency, the Hamilton wins; on materials, collectability, and premium execution, the Bremont has the edge. Winner: Hamilton
